LOCKDOWN 3 ANNOUCEMENT : I hope this post finds you all safe and well. We were very hopeful that lockdown 3 would be like lockdown 2 with an end date in sight, but it doesn't appear that will be the case. Our plan when we are told a date: We will leave any future appointments as they are booked and we will ring all clients who were booked in from the 16th of February onwards to reschedule. The next step will be to move on to a priority list of any clients who don't have an active appointment currently in the system, so please email us on huttonshair@gmail.com to be put on that list if this appies to you - Take care and please email us if you have any queries. PRIOR TO YOUR VISIT
- Due to a high demand of appointments, we are operating a 24 hour cancellation policy. If we have a cancellation within 24 hours, we will need to charge 30% of the appointment value. If we have a ‘no show’ we will have to charge 50% of the appointment value. We will send you a confirmation with your appointment which can be filled via Fresha. If there are any issues, please give us a call and we are more than happy to help.
- If you are having a colour service, please wash out any spray on product on the roots prior to your appointment.
- Walk in appointments will not be allowed and all new appointments must be made over the phone, not in person (unless booking repeat appointments while attending your first in the salon).
YOUR VISIT
- When you arrive, you can queue up outside of our salon windows. A receptionist will approach you to acknowledge your arrival. Your stylist’s last client will need to leave before they can clean and prepare their section ready for you to come in. You will be asked to check in via track and trace or alternatively fill out a COVID-19 waiver to state that you have no symptoms and are well. If you are worried about standing, you can wait in your car and phone the salon 5 minutes before your appointment to let us know you are here and we will collect you.
- Please arrive on time, not earlier or later as our clients will be required to queue up outside and it wouldn’t be fair to make anyone wait longer than needed.
- Please don’t bring a coat or a handbag, please pop your belongings into a plastic bag if needed.
- You may bring your own magazines or a bottle of water. Please feel free to bring a travel mug for unlimited refillable hot beverages.
- You will be required to provide your own mask, however if you don’t have one we have them available to purchase for £1 each.
- Please come alone to your appointment as we are not allowed to have more than one client per stylist. This means if you are coming as a couple, you must be with different stylists. If you are seeing the same stylist, you will need to come in separately.
- The toilet can be used if urgent, however we must ask if you do that you use the cleaning products provided to give it a wipe over afterwards.
- We will be wearing visors and masks. You will be wearing a disposable gown with your mask and we will be using single use disposable biodegradable towels when we wash your hair. All stylists are assigned one section which will be fully sanitised after every use, we have allowed an extra 15 minutes per appointment to ensure we operate as safely & as hygienically as possible. If you are having a colour done, you may be relocated to another area to process. We are also allowing 15 minutes at the end of the day for a full salon clean before we leave, so no appointments will be available during this time. All combs, scissors and brushes used will be sanitised before the next use.
- We will be having screens between the basins and at the reception. All stylist sections will have a ‘chair gap’ which will be shut off in between.
PRICES
- We will also need to add a temporary surcharge which is 10% of the service bill capped at £5 until the pandemic is over to cover closure, extended appointment times and PPE. This decision isn’t taken lightly but it’s a way to recoup some of our losses to ensure your salon can stay alive when this is all over!
